We Made It!

We Made It!
We left Albuquerque on the 7 th after the homeowners returned. We spent that night in Mountainair, NM. The next day we continued on and spent the night just out of Silver City, NM at a campground at Pinos Altos. It poured rain almost all night, lots of thunder and lightning. We stopped at an overlook at one of the silver mines and took a few pictures. The next day we drove to Tombstone, AZ., looked around there for a couple of hours and continued on to Nogales, Arizona. We spent the night there and this morning purchased our car insurance for Mexico. Left Nogales and crossed the border, it took about an hour to get our tourist visas and car permit. We were lucky and got green lights, so were not pulled over and checked. Was much easier and quicker than we expected. Continued on our way, passed a few checkpoints; but we were not pulled over. Tonight we are camped in San Carlos, and will be here until we get ahold of our contact about the apartment. We are just relaxing and having our first cold mexican beer and then are going to go for a swim. Hot and sunny here.

Hi Brenda & Roy
There are those that talk about it and those that DO IT! So great to read you made it and are in the sun and water - keep us all informed, good luck with the rental and wear some sun screen ;-)
