Katrina

Katrina
We have been glued to CNN since Hurricane Katrina hit, the devastation is unimaginable to us. It is wonderful how the people are rallying around the victims with offers of clothing, food, housing, jobs, etc.. I think it is great that Wal-Mart is trying to give jobs to the displaced people and former employees ; although I do question the wisdom of putting someone in a "deli" position when they have just been evacuated from an area where the distinct possibility of E-coli, Hepatitis A, gastro. infections etc. are very possible and/or probable.
It is a good thing that the average citizens are helping out as the government should be shot for their lack of timely response. How could FEMA not know about the people in the Dome or Convention Centre when everyone else in the world with a T.V., radio or computer knew?
Thank you Billie for posting the "Katrina" blogs on your site. If anyone is interested here is a link to Billies blog to find those links. http://billiemercer.blogspot.com/ . We have spent several hours reading them.
