One morning he saw me outside and decided that he would try for an early feeding, smart dog. He sat downstairs just staring up at us, until he decided to come up and get a drink instead. He couldn't seem to decide whether he should drink or bath; but seemed to enjoy the water.
Last night he came up seemingly just to visit. I was outside reading and he came and laid down by my chair and was just taking it easy. Good company for both of us.
He is a good dog in that the only time he barks is if someone strange is on our street. He knows who belongs and who doesn't. Other than that he is quiet and unobtrusive, a nice dog; although he could use a bath. He is the only dog now that resides on our street, we used to have 4 of them and things were noisier then. The city came by and picked up the 2 females a few months ago and the other male left and only returns once in awhile to say hello.

Brenda, I think you had better get this nice dog up on your patio for good or be prepared to say goodbye to a wonderful dog. You know the city will get him at some point. And who knows what will move in to replace him. Perhaps a whole pack.
Brenda, What a nice dog! I wanted to thank you for recently visiting my blog site and commenting on my Pysanky post. I tried to use the WordPress link you provided to find your site but it wasn't working. Glad I found you!
I look forward to learning more about Mexico!

What a cutie!
Professor Jiggs loves putting his feeet in his water dish -- just like "your" dog.
I agree with Wayne. Claim him. He is just waiting to be your permanent friend.
The thing is that we don't really want to "own" a dog, not that a street dog could ever really be owned. We don't want to be tied down/responsible for him.
He has another place where he spends most of the day sleeping in the shade on the patio, so he sort of has an owner. We just like to help out with his feeding/watering and besides that he is a good guard dog as he barks at all the strangers on the street. But no, we will not try to "own" him.
