Backhoe Cleanup
About 3 weeks ago the road grader had come down the street to the north of our corner. When he finished grading the street he left a pile of rubble sitting off to the side of the street. The neighbor that lives right beside where they left the pile then decided that this would be a good time to clean his yard up. He is the fellow that you can see in the video I posted on August 25, on the post, "Our Street". His yard is not the tidiest one in the neighborhood. He started cleaning up as soon as he arrived home from work. The way he was working it appeared that he thought they might be coming soon to pick up the graders pile. He cleaned up a bunch of stuff and made another big pile right beside the graders pile. We figured that these piles would remain there until time wore them away.
Well, this morning a backhoe and dump truck showed up and cleaned up most of the piles. They did a so-so job. The majority of it is gone anyway and it does look better.
Surprised us.
