We are no longer living in Guaymas, we returned to live in Canada some years ago;because of health concerns.
I had the blog set to private for quite a while; but as there are some people who are still interested in reading it I have again set it to public.
We loved the time that we spent living in Guaymas and still miss it at times.

We started this blog to journal our six month stay in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico over the winter of 2005/2006. All the original posts of our winter are still here. We enjoyed it so much in Guaymas that we decided we wanted to live there. We returned to Alberta, Canada just long enough to sell everything we owned and have now moved here. Stay tuned for all the adventures we will have in our new life in our adopted country.

Hi thank you for your blog very helpful! What are the odds of working for or starting my own dive and fish shop in San Carlos living in Guaymas? I’m 41 married two girls 13-11. I’m looking for adventure and sunnier days. Any suggestion would be great!

I would suggest you look on the San Carlos sites or search for dive shops San carlos, as there used to be 1 or 2 companies like that. Sorry I no longer remember the business names. When searching make sure you search san carlos, sonora, mexico, as there is a san carlos, arizona and one in california also. Good luck.
