A Sunny Sunflower Day

It is a good day, even better than usual after getting some good family news.
I walked down to the corner and took some shots of some wild sunflowers.
They are so sunshiny and happy looking, they always make me smile.
Have a great day.

I agree, Brenda. Anyone who can look at a sunflower and not at least grin is losing out on a lot of life.

Yes, some things just make us feel happy just by "being".
Have a great evening.

Hi Brenda! So nice to visit with you. Love the sunflowers photos, just beautiful. I couldn't figure out how to leave a comment on your new looking blog, so I clicked on the flower and it took me here. Hope you have been well and that you've been doing a lot of painting. You paint well. Happy Easter Brenda to you and yours. Take care and thx for stopping by my blog. I've been away, on and off. Bye now.

Hi Gloria, thanks for stopping by.
Blogger dashboard said they were going to force a change over to a new thing by a certain date so I clicked on it to try it out.
It doesn't seem too different; but I have only used it the one time so haven't really tested it out.
Take care and have a happy Easter.

I adore your blog. The mountainess pictures make me homesick for the SouthWest. I'm 26 years removed from El Paso, TX and don't go back as much as I'd love to. Living in VA now and I have ventured onto a food blog. This week I'm featuring anything Mexican/TexMex so if you get a chance, please post this at my Fiesta-Cinco de Mayo linky party. I have lots of recipes, some craft entries, now I need is stories. Here's the link to the Fiesta: http://isavortheweekend.blogspot.com/2012/04/fiesta-cinco-de-mayo-linky-party.html My mom used to go to Guaymas and Sonora a lot because she had family living there. When I read or hear those names, I think of her. Looking forward to more of your posts and if you get a chance, please enter a post in my linky party. Thx!! -Bev

Hi Bev. Thanks for posting and also for inviting me to your linky party for Cinco de Mayo.
I don't really have anything to post for Cinco de Mayo as down here in Guaymas, Sonora (Mexico) Cinco de Mayo is not really a big celebration.
At the moment it is Dia del Ninos and then tomorrow is Labour Day here. May 10 is of course Mothers Day here which is a big deal.
Thank you for your blog link, the fajita recipe looks yummy. I will be reading more on your blog.
Nice to hear that your mom had family here and that she visited here.
