I love that lighthouse. I always wondered what it would be like to live in a lighthouse. Hi Brenda, hope you are doing good. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've been busy making tamales and I've got a roast in the oven and I had some eggnog with a little Myers rum and I'm also painting pendants and bangles. tee hee. Hi Gloria. I used to wonder when I was a child about living in a lighthouse, it seemed so mystical. When I grew up I realized how nasty it would be in the wintertime lol. I am pretty sure that most of the lighthouses in Canada are run electronically and almost none of them have live in people anymore. I remember an article about it several years ago, I thought it was sad that a way of life was disappearing.
I have been busy in the kitchen also. I made a dessert and a square and also homemade fudge from my moms recipe that she always made at Christmas time. Lots of chocolate lol.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas. I will probably be eating tamales this evening for dinner also. Our landlords have invited us to the family Christmas Eve dinner and she is a fantastic cook so am looking forward to it. They have asked us almost every year since we have been here, except for last year when everyone had the flu for Christmas.
It is a fun evening.

Merry Christmas. I share your fascination with lighthouses. I even considered living in a silo once -- turning it into a house. Similar to what the English do with old windmills.

Steve: There is something about lighthouses isn't there? Oh and windmills, that would be just fantastic to have a home in one of them!!!
Living in a silo wouldn't be too bad, room for several levels, just add lots of windows lol.
Have seen pictures online of people making the round metal grain bins (granaries) into small homes. Different for sure.
