She went missing from centro in Guaymas, so if you happen to see a dog that looks like the photo below please call Cynthia at 622-111-7973.
We started this blog to journal our six month stay in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico over the winter of 2005/2006. All the original posts of our winter are still here. We enjoyed it so much in Guaymas that we decided we wanted to live there. We returned to Alberta, Canada just long enough to sell everything we owned and have now moved here. Stay tuned for all the adventures we will have in our new life in our adopted country.

I feel so helpless. I want to help, but I am uncertain what I can do. I posted a brief piece on my blog. But there must be something else.
Steve: we feel helpless too. It was supposed to be announced on the local radio. Someone is going to have the local TV announce it and I suggested that she put ads in the newspapers. She has put up posters and someone else is going to put posters up in the grocery stores. She has been searching constantly for her and there has been no sign of her. All we can do is think good thoughts.
Have they checked the local pound or shelter? If she is not there, somebody has her. (I refuse to think of the alternative) They need to post a BIG reward, like 1000 pesos for her safe return. It appears she has ID on her too!
Isla: We talked to the police about the shelter and they assured us that she is not there. I believe that Cynthia put 1000 pesos reward on the posters that she put out. Yes, she has her collar on from the USA still; but no Guaymas tags.
