A Quiet Day
A Quiet Day
We spent a quiet day at home yesterday. Roy put some hooks into the walls for tie backs for the curtains, so I got out the sewing machines and made the tiebacks. I also made a new pair of pyjama pants and did some general mending. I had bought some fleece the other day to make a bathrobe; but didn't manage to get that done yesterday. I have been doing a little embroidery the last few days, I haven't done that for years. I had thrown my bag of threads into the car when we moved and found some little squares one day uptown. I finished the two squares that I had bought and don't have a clue what I will do with them now. A pair of potholders maybe? Who knows, will probably stick them in a corner for awhile until I decide.
I need to pay the cable/internet bill so I think I will do this on my way out to San Carlos this afternoon. I may have found some affordable spanish classes out there. They are just starting up, supposedly 3 times a week for an hour, with various levels so hopefully I will fit in somewhere, we will see. I will go and check it out anyway.
We have been having some awful winds here at night the last few days, hope that goes away soon. This morning (7:30 AM) the thermometer says 19 C./66 F., so maybe it will be a nice day. It was nice yesterday afternoon, (there was a breeze so it wasn't too hot in the sun) so I did my sewing outside on the patio.

That sounds so nice! Sitting outside would be such a pleasure! Although I would have my knitting instead of embroidery.
Do you ever see yarn in the stores in Guaymas? I have never seen it in my travels and have done a bit of web searching to see if it's available, and haven't found it yet.
Have fun!

I love sixty six degree weather. Any time of day.
