It Is Cold
It Is Cold
It has still not warmed up here and I am freezing! On Monday while I was at spanish class, Roy went uptown and bought a little electric heater. I hate to think how much power it uses and we don't keep it on a lot. Just now and then to take the edge off. Yesterday morning it was only 15 C. in the apt. when we got up, so the heater ran for a few hours. UGH. Today at 3 PM it was 19 C. both inside and outside. It is cloudy and grey, which we are not used to. I am sick of winter, bring on spring. Someone at spanish class yesterday told me that she had turned on her oven and left the door open on it, just to get a bit of heat in her home. I hate to think how cold it feels in some of the less well built homes around here and further north of us in the higher elevations. It is definately a different winter this year than it was last year. At least the wind has gone away, which helps.
I have been putting off doing my spanish homework all day; but I guess it is time.

Hola Brenda:
Ouch those electric heaters are brutal - send email to Jim & Mindy for a report on their CFE bill(s) lately.
It is cold here too btw - but today and the rest of the week is looking to be nicer.
15 C is the bottom of Anita's comfort zone - I don't disagree - we try to stay between 15-30. ;-)
Juan
Hey Juan. Yes, I realise the power consumption of the heaters is UGLY; but when the temp. dips to 15 C., my Fibromyalgia aches jump into full gear. I tried other things first. I made a full length fleece housecoat that I am wearing over all my clothes and also using a "blankie", unfortunately these measures were not doing the job. I am only turning the heater on for short times, now and then, to take the edge off.
Brenda
